Task 4.1 \u2013 Reasoning about Compute Continuum<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This task enriches the Unified Knowledge Layer (UKL)<\/strong> by integrating advanced knowledge representation and reasoning techniques<\/strong>, such as matching, consistency checking, and instance-based learning.<\/p>\n

It implements real-time monitoring<\/strong> to analyze observability data and diagnose the state of the SPICE platform or user applications. A reasoning engine<\/strong> will apply multi-objective optimization<\/strong> to meet user constraints and ensure consistency through ontology-based validation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

Task 4.2 \u2013 AI-Based Methods for Applications and Autonomous Platform Adaptation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This task enhances the UKL with dynamic AI and machine learning algorithms<\/strong>, including sequence-to-sequence learning<\/strong> (RNNs, encoder-decoder models, transformers, Markov models) and reinforcement learning<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Continual, incremental, and lifelong learning<\/strong> approaches will allow the system to adapt to evolving data and address concept drift<\/strong> a catastrophic forgetting<\/strong>. Models will operate at runtime<\/strong>, using active learning<\/strong> for real-time adaptation and performance optimization.<\/p>\n

\n

Task 4.3 \u2013 Platform-Agnostic Perceptive Composer (PPC) for Complex Data Pipelines<\/strong><\/h3>\n

This task develops an AI-augmented, semi-automatic pipeline composer<\/strong> that uses XaaS services<\/strong> from the Marketplace (T7.4). It combines lightweight semantics<\/strong>, semantic graphs<\/strong>, ontologies<\/strong>, and machine\/deep learning<\/strong> (from the UKL) with historical monitoring data<\/strong> (from T5.2, T6.1, T7.3).<\/p>\n

A Visual Pipeline Editor (VPE)<\/strong> will provide an intuitive GUI for pipeline creation. The resulting pipeline definitions will be stored in the Pipeline Catalogue<\/strong> (part of the UKL) and used by the Mapper<\/strong> for mapping and execution.<\/p>\n

Task 4.4 \u2013 User Dashboard<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The User Dashboard (UD)<\/strong> enables seamless interaction with the SPICE platform via a user-friendly web portal<\/strong>. Developers can register implementations, add semantic annotations, and contribute to the knowledge base.<\/p>\n

It integrates multiple module interfaces to ensure consistency and usability<\/strong>. Users can define optimization criteria<\/strong>, constraints<\/strong>, and non-functional requirements<\/strong>, while administrators manage data access<\/strong>, functions<\/strong>, and security policies<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
