Data on the Next Level
S.P.I.C.E. creates a Smart Data Pipeline Platform
Smart data Pipelines for the CognItive ComputE Continuum (S.P.I.C.E.)
The project began in April 2025 and is scheduled to last 30 months. It is part of the Transformation and Innovation Consortia call for proposals. The consortium consists of a coordinator InterWay a.s. and nine partners from Slovakia, Poland, Spain, and Austria. The project is being implemented through 18 work packages
The aim of the call is applied research and development, which is being carried out through practical pilot projects that will be connected to a central computing infrastructure ("Continuum"). The pilot projects are only a sample for a much broader platform for further use in various economic sectors, based on a central, robust, and wide-ranging computing platform, which is the focal point of the project.
Artificial intelligence is intended to help create behavior models and offer users appropriate algorithms, whether in manufacturing, energy, or medicine. Several model areas with large volumes of data have been selected for the project. They will be collected and prepared for calculations for the central computing platform. The project will cover five areas of application, where the needs for data processing and the usable outputs from the computing platform will be defined.
The project aims to create an innovative computing architecture for these areas. Individual requirements from specific areas of the economy and research will also be tested using innovative computing methods that enable the processing of large volumes of data.
