Work package 9
Objectives: Research trusted cloud adaptations, QA, metrics, and anomaly mitigation
Task 9.1 – Trusted Software Quality Assurance Methods
This task focuses on researching and designing software quality assurance (QA) methods specifically for the compute continuum. The goal is to ensure software reliability and compatibility across diverse edge devices and cloud servers.
Key areas include edge computing simulation, resilience testing, and cross-device compatibility testing. New comprehensive QA methods will be developed and systematically integrated to create a flexible, dynamic strategy tailored to the unique challenges of compute continuum environments.
These methods will be further matured towards TRL6/7 in Task 11.1, supporting higher readiness levels for practical deployment and validation.
Task 9.2 – Data Transfer Anomalies Prediction and Mitigation
This task involves developing predictive models and analytical tools to identify unusual data transfer patterns and potential bottlenecks.
The objective is to proactively detect anomalies and, using automation or intelligent algorithms, trigger rapid mitigation strategies to maintain smooth data flow.
The research ensures the reliability and efficiency of data transfer, especially in large-scale computing environments, where unexpected anomalies could cause data loss, delays, or system disruptions.
